Market Update April 22, 2020: Economic Standstill

Dear clients and friends,

There was no major economic news today.  Oil values started reporting based on the June contract which made it look more reasonable.  The senate passed another round of PPP funding, and now we are waiting for the House of Representative’s response before it gets finalized as well as details.  The markets in general were happy to see another round of stimulus become more likely.

Tomorrow we will get last week’s new jobless claims which are expected to coming in at another 4 million.  We also get some manufacturing data as well as the somewhat  irrelevant March home sales numbers.
